Encouraged by His Word 22nd March 2019

John 9.33

"If this Man, were not from God, He could do nothing"

Dear Friend in Christ, this is the confession made by the one who was born blind and was healed by Jesus. When he received healing started testifying the healing, there came opposition, threats from religious leaders. He was not afraid of these people but went on declaring boldly, A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, "Go to the pool of Siloam and wash." So I went and I received sight. (Jn9.11) He had the heart of gratitude and thankfulness. He knew his pathetic situation, and from which pit  Jesus has lifted him and delivered him, set him free. Though he didn't knew Jesus, He acknowledges that "He is from God". When he meets Jesus later, and as Jesus reveals Himself to him, he said, "Lord I believe!" And he worshipped Him.

This episode is written in the Bible, as a lesson for us. We receive so many miracles from the Lord but do we risk to testify? We take it as if it is our birth right to receive miracles. We may testify inside the Church or in a group of believers, but do we take the courage to testify in the market place, in public, with those who don't believe in Jesus and those who are opposing Jesus? Why? Heart of gratitude is  not there.  Just think how we react in secular world, if we buy something and if it is good, we will market the product with such a force even the Marketing Executive of that product will be put to shame. We know how to testify. Lord does miracles in our lives, so that we can use it as a tool to evangelize. Witness is very powerful than preaching! Mt10.32,33, Jesus declares, "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven" Many who received miracles from the Lord are suffering because of not testifying, not glorifying the Lord; Jesus too denies such people! These are the ones who made their miracles as their graveyard!

Knowing the Lord, but by not acknowledging, glorifying, and thanking the Lord, our thoughts becomes futile and heart will be foolish and darkened. Rom1.21, "Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened." What a tragedy!!!

We should make a habit to thank God in everything and we should be excited to share with others what the Lord has done to us, thereby will be instrument for someone to come to the knowledge of Jesus, and  receive greatest reward, "Jesus confessing you to the Father who is in heaven." All because of heart of gratitude. Develop the heart of gratitude in you and look for opportunities to testify, thereby you will be a powerful witness to the Lord.

ENJOY THE SUPERNATURAL FAVOR OF THE LORD AS YOU TESTIFY AND GLORIFY HIM.🌟John 9.33
