Proverbs 3.5,6
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
Dear Friend in Christ, do not ponder upon your failures, defeats, sickness, shame, problems, anxieties but look for brighter things in the future for the "LORD has plans for your peace, future, hope and not of destruction."(Jer29.11)
The Word of God gives us guidelines.
1. Trust in the LORD with all your heart
We always say that we trust in the LORD and we also sing out loud..."I just keep trusting the LORD as I walk along...." Do we really trust Him!? If we trust Him, why we poke our nose in between, why we get disturbed, restless? Do we do the same in our secular world? We go to a restaurant, stylishly look into the menu, and order. Do we look into the kitchen, quality of raw materials, process of cooking? Why? We trust the restaurant!!!! Now just examine yourself....do you really trust the LORD. If there is any iota of doubt during the process of trusting, "we will receive nothing from the LORD." (James1.6-8) Today let's take a stand to fully, unconditionally to trust the LORD, believing who He is, believing in His power and authority and knowing that He loves us with His everlasting love and He is always Faithful.
2. Lean not on your own understanding
Human tendency is that we go by our education, knowledge, past experiences, and experiences told to us by others; we also think as LORD has given us the wisdom we should utilise this wisdom. Scripture says, "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD." (Jer17.5) Our LORD, our Father is the source of all wisdom, power and authority, He has called us to "Cast all our care upon Him for He cares for us." (2Pet5.7) Our understanding is limited and therefore, instead of depending upon on limited knowledge, let's lean on the LORD, who is the source of all wisdom.
3. In all your ways acknowledge Him
Friend, make it a habit to acknowledge the LORD in everything. Normally we acknowledge the LORD when our lives are saved from a major accident but have you ever thought of the LORD when you go out and come back without any scratch? Have you ever thought who takes care when you sleep? Scripture says, "Without Me, you can do nothing"(Jn15.5) for "He is the vine, we are the branches." How can a branch survive without the supply from the vine? Be conscious of Immanuel, God with us." The unfortunate thing is we think of "Immanuel" only during Christmas! He is Immanuel forever and ever. Let this TRUTH sink into our system, then surely we will acknowledge Him in everything.
4. He shall direct your paths
Awesome! The LORD who created heaven and earth, who has all power and authority in heaven and in earth, who knows the end from the beginning, who loves you with His everlasting love, who has sacrificed His Son for you, who has adopted you as son in Christ, made you joint heir with Christ, and nothing is impossible with Him, will direct your paths! Marvellous! He is supernatural God; with spoken Word He created everything; who divided the Red Sea, pulled down the Jericho wall without using any technology; healed the lepers, fed thousands with few loaves, raised the dead ...... is directing your paths.... Amazing! Believe, you will never be the same. You can't fail. Then, you will think supernatural, dream supernatural, speak supernatural, do supernatural and will have supernatural. "You are more than a conqueror."(Rom8.37) Get excited, you are always a success, celebrate the fullness of life in Christ Jesus and be a powerful witness to Him.
